It’s a bakery and yet they serve coffee? If their bread, pies and cakes are so good, they wouldn’t need to serve coffee too. Their pies is disgusting!! It’s just flavoured gelatine hence the size which is very big. I ordered a meat pie. Mine had no meat, but beef flavoured gelatine. It wobbled straight out of the pastry. Pies is not an Asian cuisine… I should have known better that it would taste awful.
Situated in the small Meadowbrook shopping centre this bakery has a great selection of cakes & breads with friendly service. It boasts a corner position & has plenty of shelving on which to display it’s fare. I ordered some fruit scones which were soft & light with a generous amount of fruit
Had the bad experience of the gourmet pie at Wake Up Caf yesterday so I changed my strategy to get the pie from this bakery and walked back to have the take-away coffee from Wake Up caf this morning. There were already groups of customers waiting to order their breads and cakes when I arrived. Due to early in the morning, they could only open half of shop to serve customers. As a rule of thumb, this bakery again is running by Vietnamese, there is no Banh Mi but I am confident with their Steak & Chili Pies so go for one of them. When I had my first bite, it proved that my gut feeling is absolutely right. the chunk steak and strong heat from the chili refresh my palate…then a sip on the coffee…I ammmm satisfied!!
Everything I have ever eaten here has been very fresh and tasty- bread, pastries, sweets and savouries. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly.
