Very authentic, the best hot pot in Brisbane to be honest. The food was great and service was impeccable. I can’t explain HOW GOOD the service is every time I come here- just why this place is still as popular as it was when it just opened last year! The food was good and very fresh, sauce dish options were plenty, and overall just very well-priced. The atmosphere was good and the design of the restaurant is so beautiful yet practical, whilst keeping the Chinese features. I can’t even remember the number of times I’ve dined here anymore, and every time it is filled with people – shows how popular it is. In the Jin has one of the best reputations around the Asian community and is probably my favourite.
Winter is the perfect weather to have hotpot with friends and In the Jin is definitely my (current) favourite hotpot place. I go there almost once a week. What I love most about it is the SOUP BASE. I cant decide which soup base i like the most so I always order the four-in-one (pork bone, tomato, herbal and spicy) soup base. Also, the deco there is so chinesey and the customer service is impeccable. Food is also fresh and have a big selection. One down side however is that it is always always so busy and packed. An one hour wait is considered normal for In the Jin, but understandably so. Parking is also hard but worth it! Highly recommend to everyone!
We have our exploration back to the end of last year. Although there were many similar hot pot eateries opened in southside of Brisbane including Rong Fu, David’s, Yu Xiang and 6 Po etc. They are more less the same type of food but different in lay out only. I personally do not appreciated the booking system of this one because we rang up for reservation at 6:00pm (a normal early dinner time) but was forced to start at 5:30pm. Well, we took it because the exploration but would not feel comfortable about it. Honestly, ventilation needs to be improved because we found the smell on our clothes after the dinner. Pricewise is the same (expensive) as compared to the other competitors but we prefer to dining experience at the Yu Xiang. Food quality, service and taste of soup base are all similar to Yu Xiang and David’s; therefore it was not that exciting for us. Sorry!Rating 3.5/5
