Was invited for dinner and intended to have a vegetarian meal so tried the Glamorous Wok at the Sunnypark shopping centre last night. Unfortunately, it is the regular closing day for the business and so as our second attempt next door at the Superoll Vegetarian restaurant. In order to rescue our stomachs, we went to this Chinese restaurant to settle the matter. Perused the menu and discovered that they do offer quite a wide range of vegetarian meals. We order most of the dishes with vegetarian option except a S&P flounder, which was requested by the only one who needed some meat for the night. Although it was quite busy, service and food preparation made us satisfied. The S&P King Trumpet Mushroom was the hero, which was crispy with moist texture. Mixed vegetable & vermicelli hot pot was not bad, particularly chef is very clever to add the fermented bean curd that makes the whole dish to next level. Eggplant with salt fish hot pot was done up very tasteful too. I think I will be back soon for my next vege day… 🙂 4 months ago Rating 4/5 Since the current management (actually has been there for over 3-4 years at least), Parkland is doing better and better. Had dinner last night and selected two of the chef’s special crispy pork belly & pickled vegetable & fish) and two the package deal (braised fish mew with chicken and the pork trotter with preserved plum) that each dish is included the steamed rice, homemade soup and after-dinner fruit platter. Pork belly was slowed cooked and coated with special batter. Effect is not bad and the dips for the pork belly is slightly under in terms of acidity. The other three dishes gained back a lot of marks. Pork trotters were well done with just spot-on sourness from the preserved plums. The chicken & fish mew dish reflected high culinary skill of Cantonese cuisine. The Pickled Vegetable & fish was a surprised to see the Coral Trout fish fillet which was not the frozen type. The sourness and spiciness of this dish definitely earned my appreciation. If you like to try good Cantonese cuisine, this restaurant is the one that I would recommend in Sunnybank area. Price & quality are well balanced. Aug 12, 2015 Since Landmark has changed management, it is not surprise that same story will be happened on its sibling restaurant – Parkland Restaurant. Located across the road in Sunnypark shopping centre, Parkland has been trading for quite a few years. Strategies of trading is similar like Landmark, however, I found that their performance was so far better than its Mother company. Current management keeps the production and services consistent and even better. Words of mouth from local regular Yum Cha diners’ comments are excellent. Promotions for dinner are brilliant. Well done.
