Note – this place has changed its name to LOCAL & CO. Thankfully a local told us otherwise we would not have found it.And I’m glad we did find it. The breakfast burger was awesome. It was massive, full of bacon, eggs some salad and a sublime tomato relish all on a toasted brioche bun.The baked beans hotpot was also very good. With chorizo, bacon, ‘special sauce’ and poached egg – served with toasted sourdough. The ambience is causal, beachside cafe style. The service was pretty good, but they need to tone down on the up-selling. For example, if I wanted hash browns, I would have asked for them.
This place was good now it is fantastic. The new owner Michael is so friendly and loves to talk to the customers The food is the best in tedder and the coffee is a winner thanks and see you soon
Actually been quite sometime since I hit Main Beach for a snack. Have been here many times for dinner in the past. Today I was in need of that usual liquid one requires every morning. They delivered it here as I like it -hot & strong, can never usually count on the rest of the requirements fitting the bill, but this one did! Merlo coffee at it’s best-well poured with a lingering finish only Merlo can be depended upon to deliver. The barista was very friendly too & was happy to provide details of the artistic joys on their walls. See pics on here-love his work, Donald Waters puts out amazing replications of the local area in his own colourful talented representations
We were greeted with a warm smile and were instantly happy to be there. The waitress who served us was absolutely lovely and we shared a few laughs! I had the omelette with feta, spinach and chives and it was one of the best, if not the best, omelettes ive ever had. I also had a freshly squeezed juice which was absolutely perfect! I’ll definitely be back next time im in main beach!
Quite a good little cafe. Staff are friendly enough and food is good. Coffee is yummy one of the better places for brekky in Tedder I have not tried it for lunch but might in the future.
