We were visiting from Brisbane and chose this place for last minute dinner plans on a Friday evening. The service was slightly lack lustre but it was extremely busy and the staff were run of their feet. Excluding that, the food was arguably the best genuine Italian I’ve eaten in an extremely long time. The decor is kitsch and interesting and the live music created beautiful ambience. The price for the serving size was fantastic. I’d definitely go back.
Capriccios Italian Restaurant in Maleny has a extensive menu of standard Italian dishes. We chose the Pesce alla Milanese, Cannelloni Ripieni and garlic bread. The Pesce consistent to two massive fish fillets, that as it turned out were not evenly cooked. After a considerable wait, the waiter came back to the table to inform us that there was not enough of the meat Cannelloni to complete the serve so I opted to take two meat and two spinach and ricotta ones to round out the dish. No real issues with that, except the time it took from when we placed the order, until we were informed an order could not be filled. Once it arrive, the Cannelloni was basically what I was expecting to see, but not special (not after the wait)One highlight was the live music that was playing. We were positioned outside as inside it should have been too loud. The gentlemen on the guitar played well with a variety of 50s/60s/70s, creating a mini trivia night for ourselves while we waiting for the meals.Given the other comments about Capriccios Italian Restaurant , we will probably try a pizza on the next trip in Maleny to give them another chance.

Terrible pizza. Thick tasteless base like a supermarket base. If you like the pizza and decor of take away Aussie pizza parlours of the 80s you’re in for a treat.
