Dined here for an early dinner on Easter Saturday so there was an additional surcharge on our meals (understandable, not a complaint, just something for other diners to note that public holidays incur extra costs). If we hadn’t been here previously, it would have been quite confusing as it’s not obvious that you need to order and pay at the counter. My husband ordered a pizza and it arrived much earlier than my meal. I understand they’re cooked in a separate kitchens but it’s always awkward when someone either has to wait and let their meal get cold, or practically finish by the time the other meal arrives. I chose the maca barra – Barramundi with macadamias, mango salsa, chips and salad. The fish was cooked fine, the chips were generous and nice and the salad was fresh. I wasn’t a fan of the huge chunks of red onion in the salad though. The salsa though… it was awful. The tomato was grainy and mushy – it had awful taste and texture. The mango wasn’t nice either and the onion in it was very overpowering. To be honest, I had to scrape it off the fish because it made an ok dish awful. The macadamias were a nice addition. For the price and the quality, it was below average. My husband enjoyed his pizza and it’s got a nice atmosphere about it, however the price is quite high for what you get.
