Situated high in the hills of Maleny with a fantastic view of the Glasshouse Mountains. You can see the city of Brisbane on a clear day as well. Dining on the elevated deck makes the food extra enjoyable in such a great setting. The food is very traditional German fare and they have a great selection of German beers as well. Be sure the try the smoked beer if you have not tasted before!
The Jagerschnitzel, house soup, pretzels and Apfelstrudel are divine. The pork roast on the weekend was average. Had the venison once as a special and it was excellent.
Horrible service from the lady who served us. It was raining heavily and we had some issue with our hotel booking, so we decided to cheer up ourselves by arriving the restaurant earlier to have some drinks. We did say we arrive earlier but no rush to get a table, the lady kept reminding us that we arrived early and she had no time to serve us but pushed us to order drinks. She did not even bother to give recommendations when we asked for it. She said you can either stay to order drinks or go to somewhere else and start giving racist comments towards asians. We ended up walking away, totally ruined our night on Easter Friday, would never walk into this restaurant again in my whole life.
Horrible service I never experienced in anywhere else. The owner was telling us we were wasting her time just because of we want a few more minutes to order drinks, she also asked why you guys sit on the bar without ordering anything. We were shocked by her hospitality and ending up walking out because of her arrogance and rudeness. Not recommended!!
