Went to this quaint cafe in the heart of Maleny for lunch. Not too busy and the menu is simple but sufficient. They use great quality ingredients. Visit their cheese shop for delicious cheeses!
This place was bustling as soon as we walked through the doors. With homemade goodies, their prize winning gelato and the fromagerie it will definitely please anyone’s appetite. I loved the Reuben sandwich, it was fresh, flavoursome and generous with the fillings. The cheese boards are definitely value for money. It’s a great way to try their produce which may entice you to visit the fromagerie upon leaving for some take home cheese. Lastly you need to make sure you try their gelato. The cherry ripe is hands down a winner.
Whenever we are in Maleny, we always stop in for a Gelato at the Maleny Food Co. With a wide selection of flavours, there is always some there to enjoy, regardless of your taste in Gelato. We did not dine-in on this occasion, but the menu still had a good selection of items available.
I can only go by the icecream and coffee. The coffee was strong but not bitter. I tried the hazelnut and cherry icecream. The hazelnut was creamy and had great flavour, but was a tad icey. The cherry had a slight after-taste but was very smooth. I’d like to try some other flavours next time. The service was very quick.
