We visited this restaurant for the second time after two years. It’s a lovely restaurant with a lovely ambience. Unfortunately despite booking a table in advance we couldn’t have a table with a view of the Obi creek. We were told the tables were reserved but we didn’t see anybody during our 90 minute stay. Maybe none of those people on those three tables turned up. This was a bit of a disappointment after driving 100 km to only visit the restaurant particularly to enjoy the view. The food was fantastic. The vegetarian menu was pretty much the same as two years ago except they removed roasted macadamia from the risotto. The dessert was perfect. I’ll rate the food 4.5/5. Service was fast enough and staff were nice. The 15% surcharge on Easter Saturday was mentioned on the physical menu but not the website. In general it was great.

At some venues where there is accommodation and a restaurant, were there is possibly a captive market, the restaurant can sometimes be a let down. This is not the case with the restaurant at Pomodoras on Obi. The quality of the food was outstanding. This restaurant is able to compete with its peers and stand it ground. We had the Wagyu Rump Steak (#8), Crispy Skinned Duck Breast, Caramelized Apple Tarte Tatin and Brioche Doughnuts which could not be faulted. The skills of the chef and his staff are on display in every dish. The restaurant was under a little bit of pressure due to an absent staff member, but we were informed of this at the start so we were not concerned. The view of the balcony, from the restaurant towards the Obi Creek was very relaxing and made for an all round pleasant evening.

What a fantastic find on our weekend away. A restaurant with lovely ambience and great service. Probably one of the best meals we have had! The care that is taken by the chef really shines through. Our seafood risotto was absolutely delicious with so much tender seafood in it. We loved this place so much we are going back again in the same weekend!

I have been here few times. I think Pomodoras is one of the best restaurants in Australia which offers best dishes in Maleny. Try it !———————————–

I came here for lunch and was pleased to find a well air-conditioned restaurant. The decor clean and warm. I ordered a margarita which was lovely, mushroom risotto and a chocolate fondant (with passionfruit parfait). The risotto was delicious and filling and the fondant was soft and quite frankly, amazing!
