Just visited the new Sea Vibes takeaway which was once Fish Cafe. After being a regular customer of Fish Cafe, what a disappointing experience Sea Vibes was.Poor customer service. I was given the wrong order (takeaway with no bags) upon opening the boxes I discovered they didnt supply the salad I paid for and ordered, I received a chicken burger instead of a steak burger and two pieces of grilled sea perch fish were two broken fried (not grilled as ordered) and crumbled pieces of indistinguishable mess. For $70. I returned and wasnt offered an apology or refund by the snarly and surly Melissa who was serving. Im a chef by trade and I would embarrassed to employ such incompetent staff, let alone serve rubbish up for customers. The people in the kitchen should not be wearing chef jackets. They are not qualified by any means to cook. Please see the photo. I notice the Sea Vibes Facebook page doesnt have a review section, I can imagine this was disabled soon after you opened this poorly run cafe/takeaway. Dont worry, like most Australians we just wont return. Try the Lido Restaurant next door, Tide Wine Bar or Lota Takeaway down the road if youd like food cooked properly by professionals.
A nice looking restaurant in Manly. Has both a take away and restaurant section.While the waitresses were friendly, it was hard to get their attention due to their conversations with coworkers.The food was highly overpriced and it did not help that their were no pictures to reference from. The Mezze plate, valued at $25 consisted of a few tiny portions of beautifully placed seafood. The fish of the day, valued at $29 was shockingly small portioned but cleverly masked by the use of a large plate. I had read reviews praising the place for large portions, but was disappointed. The only thing large about the portion was the plate, not the food.Overall, the arrangement and taste was nice but certainly not filling enough for the high price.
FOOD 3.5SERVICE 3.0AMBIENCE 3.5A great place by the beach and marina. The quality of fish and other seafood is really good. Great feed, good portions and filling. Takeaway is great too and the prices are decent. One of the better fish and chip shops in the area.
Very slow takeawy service… avoid if looks at all busy… waited over 90mins for takaway fish and chips. Not just me everybody was waiting for at least an hour… one guy waited 70mins for 2 boxes of chips!!! It was a busy friday night… to be fair, but if they cant handle that and the restaurant… maybe only open one or another.
I get take away coffees regularly here which I think are the best in manly but the service is poor. I’m constantly left waiting to order while the staff are busy chatting. I took my parents for lunch and the food took 45 mins to arrive. The food at the restaurant I think is a bit pricey comparatively to other comprable cafes nearby.
Came across this caf and just felt like to have a cup of coffee so chose to go around its Take-Away section instead of the main dining area. Ordered a flat white in a cup and took a seat at the dedicated al fresco area. It was a nice sunny dayand it made me so relaxing to enjoy my cup of Grassroots Expresso (first time to have this bean) while I was overlooking those yachts at near water. What a nice day!
Visited many times, consistently good. Sweet potato chips a real treat.Service with a smile. Food always very good – pleasant views, love the dcor.
