Lovely little place tucked away down Cambridge lane. Was after the spicy date loaf but alas it was sold out. So I settled for the fruit toast with lemon curd. The curd was zingy and delicious. I have pretty high standards when it comes to fruit toast, so that’s reflected in my rating. The coffee was smooth but had a slightly nutty finish…The staff were super friendly and helpful.
Always amazing food and lovely staff. Love the spot but it can often be unpleasantly busy, but what can you do? just shows what a spot it is! Am always excited to try the special. Not a bad experience to date.
Beautiful setting! Loved all the flowers & seating. Puppy friendly too which is always a huge bonus. Our food portions were a good size – I ordered a side of bacon with my field mushrooms for $4 and it came as a very generous serving. Only downside was the food was quite salty and some parts of the bacon was extra crispy to the point of blackness. However, enjoyed the experience overall & friendly staff, will be back again!
The great service at Cambridge lane stared before we even arrived, as I had messaged them about specific dietary requirement and for a menu. The reply was prompt, detailed and very friendly. When we arrived this morning it was packed and we had to wait a few minutes for a table big enough for the 5 of us. Being so busy, I expected to wait a while for our food and drinks but they came out all within 20 min or less. And was all delicious. I can’t speak highly enough. This is the first 5 star rating I’ve given! They were more than willing to change some menu items to cater for dietary requirements and also had some delicious vegan options.
I ordered the big breakfast and it was delicious. The chorizo was one of the best I’ve ever tasted and loved how it came with asparagus. Only negative was my iced coffee had ice and ice cream.
Really great service, coffee was great but food was average. I ordered avo smash and added poached egg. Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. The egg was verging on undercooked( i like my eggs runny but it was coldish and a little slimy) it was almost a bit bland, wish it had feta or cracked pepper something as it lacked flavour. Would come back again as it was a rainy sunday and they were packed so maybe just a bad day
If you are looking for that iconic trendy laneway cafe in suburban manly, well this place completely rocks it! Tastefully decorated with a comfortable outdoor space and equally spacious indoor (air conditioned) area comfort is matched with good coffee and great food. The service is friendly and quick and there has been a marked improvement of late with the attentiveness of staff. The menu is fantastic, I mean ‘spicy house made date, ginger and walnut loaf with espresso butter… ‘chai see pudding with vegan coconut yogurt, banana and pineapple salsa and blueberry coulis’ a clear indication the chef is working hard to support what is a great venue with good coffee. This would hands down be the best in the area. Two thumbs up to the crew at Cambridge Lane for pulling together a great experience
