We came here on a weekend and were seated very quickly. Waitress was friendly, even though not presented very well. Ordered an iced coffee, chicken club sandwich, snapper with chips and salad, and the pork belly which was on the daily specials board. Food didn’t take too long to come out. Iced coffee was probably the best part of the meal. Club sandwich was very oily as all three pieces of bread had been pan fried for too long. The fish dish had a very small fillet considering the big price and the pork belly dish tastes microwaved and at first came out wrong as a burger and we had to wait for it to come out. All in all when we left we all had a very greasy taste in our mouths and despite the friendly service probably won’t ever be back again.
The service lets this place down. We were seated but not served until we got a hold of someone. She took our order without writing it down and sure enough she got an important detail wrong. My sister is a coeliac and ordered gluten free toast. The coffee came out quickly and tasted good. It took 35 minutes to receive our food (which had regular bread on my sisters plate). We requested gluten free bread which was apparently going to take 2 minutes to re-make even though it took 30 minutes the first time? We then had to get up and collect our own cutlery to eat. My sister enjoyed her meal but mine was pretty average. Definitely could have made it at home.
Menu looked great but was a bit pricey. Service was slack with tables left covered in dirty plates. One waitress was covered in kitchen filth. We ordered fish & chips and a club sandwich for lunch, both meals that should take about 10 minutes to make. After waiting over 45 minutes for our meals, we walked out in disgust. I hadn’t even received the coffee I ordered. To add insult to injury, the only people in the place to receive their food while we were there were the most recent arrivals.
Had breakfast here this morning and I had order the pork belly egg Benny that they had on the menu. Pork belly was over cooked couldn’t even chew most of it. The egg wasn’t runny at all, it was more a hard boil egg. Hardly any sauce. Had friends with me also they forgot many items on there meals also. We are all so disappointed.
We all really loved our Lunch at Oliver’s yesterday, met friends from Cruise ship in port . My husband’s Olivers Beef burger was so good .Great place ,Great food .
Valentine ‘s day dinner with my husband was romantic and relaxing ,even though Oliver’s was very busy , we arrived early and had fantastic service and nicely prepared meals . The desserts were a nice surprise as so good . The waitstaff and Manager very helpful .
