Words can’t not decided how brilliant the food is here. I went there on Friday night (10/11) for my birthday dinner with 14 people. The service was fantastic, the gentleman who was the main server made my night really relaxed. The food was full of favourite. Best italian restaurant on the coast. Definitely be back:)
We ordered bruschetta. What we got was literally just cooked tomato on a pizza base – yuck! The pasta mains were ok but when someone asks me if i’d like Parmesan cheese, I think they should specify ‘it’s the powdered supermarket one’ so I can say ‘No thank you’. Didn’t risk the gelato.
Last night of our holidays we wanted to try a local Italian meal. It was a disappointing mixed bag. The waitresses were wonderful. Chirpy and helpful. They were the only highlight as the food was very average. La Porchettas is a better choice I think. My schnitzel was just a reheated soggy thing under a greasy eggplant. Potatoes were lukewarm and carrots way undercooked. There were four of us dining and no one enjoyed the food. Guys, what would it take to actually freshly fry a schnitzel? Honestly!The creamy pasta sauce was greasy and the pasta was overcooked. Obviously another warmed up gooey mess. If this restaurant followed their neighbours at Hellenika and produced freshly cooked food, they would have lines out the door. It was the most disappointing meal on our holidays. Cook your food to order and cook it fresh. Easy.
