I truly love everything about this place, including their Sunday morning live music sessions. Menu is quite enticing, well priced and the Chef delivers (over and above) on the expectations – thumbs up. There is an airy feel about the place as it’s completely open and not cramped. As it’s right next to the fruit and veg store it’s also convenient for some grocery shopping on the go.

I’d just had a phone invitation to visit a new café in Mermaid Waters and already I was intrigued. Teacher-librarian by trade, I surmised that they’d done their research before the call. You know…librarian = books…. The Journal’s on a site I’d been watching with interest for months: the little L-shaped Mermaid Waters Shopping Village, an emergent Asian food hub. In particular, I’d noticed Yuens. Hidden in the crook of the centre, its transformation had begun several months ago with the second refurbishment of the Yuen’s store in ten years.

Amazing big breakfast. Coffee was awesome. Has a great look and atmosphere. Currently renovating which didnt help but cant fault them for that. Food and coffee was quick and the staff were friendly. Good value for money and will definitely be returning.

Quality of the food & prep here are just spot on. Obviously this chef knows his stuff. Very rarely a breakfast cook can get a good omelette out with that edge of  brown (not burn)on the egg ( just love it) Oh & the avocado was pretty tasty too loved those chia seeds & the chunkiness of the avo. Coffee needed more strength but hey that’s just me! Coffee was well poured & smaooth so all good
