When my favourite Indian restaurant closed down I was so upset, until a friend of mine told me about Halims. The food here is AMAZING!The decor is fairly average, but I always order takeaway so it doesn’t bother me. But seriously this is the best place I have found with authentic tasting Indian food.

I ordered the chilli chicken and gobi manchurian for my dinner takeaway. I am utterly disappointed at the taste of the food. I will never order from this place again.

We got some food as a takeaway from this restaurant, I ordered a lamb rogan josh and my husband the goat curry. We have had countless curries in the past so have a good idea of what a rogan josh should taste like, same with a tomato-based goat curry. The curries arrived and were so similar in appearance and taste that we thought they had made a mistake and given us the same! The only way we could tell which one was the goat was that the goat meat had bones in. The sauce tasted identical in both curries, as if they had precooked it and added the meat later. It was incredibly creamy and the richness made both of us feel sick.As a couple of other reviewers mentioned, the rice is so fragranced that it smells like someone had dumped a bottle of perfume in there, it was inedible basically. On the plus side, the naan was not too bad and we actually enjoyed the samosas. We won’t be eating here again.
