Not impressed. I booked Lure for my 50th and took 8 guests with me. The service was not the best, the food a little disappointing and the matre d an ass. Because it was a celebration I went prepared to spend a considerable amount of money however after dinner we wanted to sit in the bar and order more wine but we were told we couldn’t so we found somewhere else and spent our money, had a lovely time. Won’t be back there despite it being in the entertainment book and have told LOTS of people about our experience.
Exceptional!. A truly exceptional experience. My partner and I tackled the mud crab platter for two. Perfectly cooked melt in your mouth Canadian scallops, the freshest Queensland prawns, delectable oysters and a mud crab that puts Lure on the map for me. I’ll definitely be back, 5/5.
I had my 30th birthday dinner tonight. The food and service was amazing! I had the soft shell crab for entree, Moreton bay bugs and scallops for main and cholesterol fondant for dessert. The waiter was extremely knowledgable and friendly. I will definitely be back.
Pricey. Meals presented very well, but felt that we paid a lot for converting an entree into a main. The entertainment book did ease the pain however.
So fantastic!. As a westside local and seafood lover it was my duty to get around to trying Lure…. yes I am a bit slow on the uptake. So I finally got there and the seafood platter was to die for. The Golden snapper (whole) was absolutely incredible, the oysters were fresh, the scallops melted in your mouth. The hand cut chips were so awesome, they were huge but so so good. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect. I love that you can see the chefs in the kitchen and the fresh seafood in the tanks (at the same time, poor fishies!).This is a lovely venue and the seafood platter was the best I’ve ever had.
Consistently Good Dining. My partner & I have been to Lure many times through the past years and find this restaurant very consistent with their outstanding dishes and service. Price is expected as seafood/ fine dining restaurants but you get what you pay for at Lure. We never had any issues returning no matter what occasion or time of the year. Love this place. I rate it 8/10
Be prepared to wait!. I think the food looked ok… but then I wouldn’t know seeing as we waited an hour after ordering before eventually walking out. We had a table of 5 for lunch and we saw other tables in the same position. When we raised it with the wait staff, the chef (open kitchen) screwed his face up and said that he had a lot on. We all understand that things get hectic, but at no time did anyone come and let us know or apologise for the unacceptable delay. In saying that, it doesn’t reflect on the wait staff, they were nice – just unattentive unfortunately.Go somewhere else on Park road – guaranteed to eat during your lunch break.
