A secret local gem – you’d never know it was there, but it’s worth hunting down. Authentic, delicious food in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Nice and fresh for summer and the pho hits the spot in winter
This is a classic ‘hole in the wall’ affair where you expect bitsy decor but great tasting authentic food at a great price. We were very pleased with the make-your-own sugar cane prawn rice paper rolls, (one of my personal favourites), but the flame grilled chicken was surprisingly meager and underwhelming for the price of $18.50. It took a bit long to come out too. The waitresses were friendly and helpful but didn’t seem to know the business all that well. All in all it was a positive dining experience but nothing to rave about.
I was really looking forward to trying this local Vietnamese restaurant after reading many good reviews. Unfortunately what I received was bland pho, watery/tough/bland pork belly and watery/tough/bland tamarind ribs. There was none of the expected punches of flavour and a complete lack of herbs and freshness was very disappointing. Needless to say I will not be going back.
Service is a tad slow and the decor isn’t anything fancy but the food is delicious. We ordered two beef pho which surprisingly came with other goodies that traditional Vietnamese restaurants offer such as beef balls, sausage, brisket. The portions is decent too. We’re glad to have found a good Vietnamese restaurant on the northside 😀
Tasty and fresh Vietnamese. Love the beef vermicelli salad. Beef pho a recommendation for winter. Trying very hard for the space they have.
Best beef Pho possibly in Brisbane. Warning … the service is not always that good, the young girls are pleasant but obviously very inexperienced and easily distracted. Also meals can take longer than usual to come out. However the meals are good. My girlfriend is Vietnamese and she loves the place. The Pho noodles have to be the best i have ever tasted, easily better and more traditional than what I have gotten in Sunnybank. If you don’t mind hit and miss service and aren’t in a rush this is a fantastic little restaurant!
Disappointing.. Dont do it!! The service is bad, the food is very average, it took forever and the meals are small and over priced. We had high hopes for this restaurant because we love Viet food and it is hard to come by out this way but unfortunately we left disappointed and ripped off.
