A truly beautiful vineyard. I would highly recommend the picnic experience after their wine tasting. Very good knowledgeable service followed by a romantic picnic was a great way to spend a Saturday
We were very disappointed with the food, Service and standard of this restaurant. We had been led to believe that the cuisine specialises on local seasonal produce which is well cooked and presented. Unfortunately my entree of Wild Rabbit was dry and lacked flavour and integrity. The Fish of the day was not fresh and was over cooked. The main course was not well presented- very ordinary. The crockery and cutlery was very worn and tiered looking. The service lacklustre and unenthusiastic. Sadly not place I would recommend. Sad as the wines are excellent and the location breathtaking.
Food was good. However unable to split a bill for 14 people. Wine tasting was in a dingy hot room with a staff member who kept having to go away to serve other customers (despite us having booked ahead). Do the tastings outside in the breeze with a view (gorgeous view) rather than hot inside looking at a dodgy paint job on the ceiling.
Went here for lunch with the partner during a weekday whilst on holiday on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.Nb. the Verdelho is made from their vineyards. We ordered the rabbit terrine and prosciutto wrapped asparagus to share; both of which were fresh and delicate, perfect for a light lunch. We then ordered the charcuterie board to share, which was exceptional and quite generous in serving.Casual ambience with outdoor seating overlooking the lovely vineyards. Reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient service.Overall, a lovely lunch experience in Montville.
Went here a few weekends ago for lunch on a Sunday and had fantastic meals and delicious well priced wine. Started with the bakery selection, mostly for the truffle butter, which was a great start. Mains were venison, eye fillet beef and the beef burger. Everyone savoured every mouthful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The music selection was good too and if you were lucky you would hear some noises from the friendly roaming roosters in the vineyard.
