Fabulous location. Seems to be popular with the over 70s. The food is bland and a bit ordinary, perhaps to appeal to conservative elderly tastes? But this is a stereotype. I could have cooked the salmon better at home. The skin was on, underneath and soggy. $16 for 3 bite sized arancini is ridiculous. It’s rice for goodness sake. The soufflé was quite good. The wine list is below par, so much potential to have a fabulous wine list, very disappointing. The service was impeccable, however.
Out to find a “special” breakfast for our anniversary. Was more than happy with the location and the very friendly staff. The food was excellent and served promptly. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Great views and a fantastic site for a long lunch, good menu with a wide variety of food to suit most tastes. Good range of beers and wines as well as home made cakes. Check out the accomodation as well, great location for a weekend getaway.
As a group of 5 we made a spare of the moment decision to have a late breakfast on a sunday. Despite not haveing a reservation the staff fit us in and kept the Breakfast menu open just for us. Service was prompt and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The veiw of the lake only added to the feel of that the naturally themed decor provided. Overall an amazing breakfast in a beutiful setting.
Well no surprise, it was on the lake. Gorgeous old timber structure and the place was abuzz. We couldn’t get a table and got ushered out in a hurry with a flustered ‘ we’re fully booked, have a wander and then come back’. No names taken, no further explanations. Service was slow and a bit flustered but it was obvious they were possibly a lot busier than anticipated. Some tables really looked like they were enjoying a long lunch complete with wines, desserts. Or maybe it was the demographic , hubby and I were the youngest by at least 2 generations.
