Went here for a luncheon. The venue on the Mooloolaba river is exceptional. Moreau oysters and Hersey Bay scallops were very tasty. Scallops were quite small. The eye fillet was well cooked and very tender. The jus was flavour packed. The fish was beautiful and moist. The batter was very crispy. Salad could have been a tad fresher. Some of the leaves looked tired. For me it rated well above it’s 3.3. Recommend for a try. Price point is expensive.
Visited See on a Saturday for lunch. My husband had the salmon and risotto and I had the sole. The service was excellent, the food was very generous in serving, well presented and delicious. Beautiful view too.
Not as good as it was. I attended See restaurant for dinner with 4 people 7 th January 2015. I had been twice before with my husband and we ordered the Seafoid Platter for 2. It came as two platters. One cold with prawns, crab, oysters mussels etc with lovely fresh fruit. The hot platter came as the main with fish scampiCalamari scallops etc with salad and a small serve of chips. It was very generous and very fresh with equal portions of each dish.We came with our friends from Sydney because they love Seafood so we thought See would be great for them. We were disappointed and embarrassed that the platter for 2 inno way resembled the lovely array we had had previously. It was all served on the one platter and was mostly hot. There was one piece of melon instead of all the nice fruit there was before and there was no crab or muscles . There was one piece of grilled fish and one piece of crumbed fish. We had to cut things in half instead of having a portion each. There was one dish that no one knew what it was and the waiter didn’t provide any information about the contents of the platter at any time so we where left guessing. The platter used to be $115 now it’s $155 and you get much less. The service was mostly good. Our waiter was always attending to us. The staff were all friendly . The dining room is nice and the view is lovely. The night we attended the air conditioning wasn’t on and we ended up leaving sooner because we were all perspiring so much. There were a set of double glass windows open but the humidity was oppressive. I’m not in a great hurry to go back as it wasn’t up to the standard we had previously enjoyed.
Great seafood platter. I had my birthday lunch here with my boyfriend. We ordered the seafood platter with crayfish for $185 which is a little overpriced as we have had seafood platters with as much seafood for around $140. However is was lovely and freah. We enjoyed the crayfish the most. Plenty of variety. Im not sure if how many it is supposed to feed but it fed the 2 of us very comfortably.. we do love our seafood though. Four people could have ordered this. The cocktails were overpriced and very average. We only ordered one each. Would have ordered more if we were getting our moneys worth. Great location looking over the water. We really enjoyed it.
We dined here tonight and had a beautiful meal with superb service. It was a quiet night, so the waiter was all over the service aspect of the evening, he suggested a really great Pinot Gris to compliment our seafood selection. And a cheeky cognac after dessert too! The seafood platter was AMAZING! Our friends has the snapper and the duck with glowing reports. I really like this place. It’s got a great feel, as the waiter said: we are hard to find, and hard to leave, LOL. It’s worth tracking this little gem down if you’re coming to Mooloolaba. Especially on a cool night; as all the other offerings seem to be al fresco. Good cocktails too. Thanks Adam for a great night. Looking forward to coming back soon!
