A family run fish shop but more a market fishmonger style operation. With crab prawn bug mussels and cetera its a one stop fish outlet. In an industrial area on a port road, you can still sit outside and eat good seafood. Come for the seafood and take it away. If there is a species you are after you will find it here. Repeat come for the product it speaks for itself.

In any case we managed to order our fresh mussels through the silent female server, asking for closed ones, and took them home.My wife immediately started to cook them for lunch but not a single one opened while cooking! I’m no Gordon Ramsey but even I know that if they don’t open its an indication that they are not f#@%^#* fresh. ( Usually dead….as in old and kaput!) So, in order to avoid our own demise, my wife promptly phoned the Fish Factory to register our concerns.(How is it, every time you phone somewhere to complain, whether it be a multi national company or your local 7/11, the manager is always day off? Was it National Manager Day Off Day or something??) Anyway, the young man who answered simply told us to take them back for a refund…….which would have been roughly another 20km round trip. Needless to say we didn’t bother but at $17.80 @ kilo we feel more than ripped off.How is it the Fish Factory has such glowing reviews? I won’t be back to any retailer who serves me old and risky sea food. Would Gordon Ramsey….?
