My daughter became violently ill after eating the butter chicken 32 hours ago and is still suffering from diaorrhea. I had the lamb vindaloo and was OK, but it tasted horrible – way too salty. Bothmeals were lukewarm at best. Never again !!
2 pakoras for $2! Filling and cheap lunch. Nice staff that actually care and fresh on the spot naan that is to die for. The smell that comes out of that place is AWESOME!!!
The curries are dreadful. They have no texture, like water. Tasteless and the meat is only good enough for the bin. Fatty, chewy, just awful. On the other hand. The sides are nice and the naan breads are excellent.A tip for people getting takeaway. Go and order your curries for curryville over the road and order your naans and sides from miss India.
Extras. The curries aren’t amazing but they’re decent. The advantage of Miss India is that it’s instant and there’s so much else available, right in front of your eyes. I love the lassis, the desserts, the naans and all the little extras you can order. Most of these are available to taste test first on a platter next to the registers. If you’re craving curry but in a hurry, it’s a decent feed.
Good Naan. Bought from them . Chicken full of fat and chewy. I had 3 pieces of lamb in the korma. WTF. Never again. Don’t eat here! Save yourselves the waste of money.
Alternative. To frequent this joint would be criminal, especially considering you can get some of Australia’s best curries at Curryville, just 45 secs down the road. I feel sorry for this business. The only people who would buy curry from here are those who’ve never heard of Curryville. Sorry Miss India, but trading in Morningside with 2 other Indian restaurants nearby is brave! Mind you, Scheherazade doesn’t offer much competition either.
Tasteless rip off. $7.95 for a tiny tub of tasteless daal is really cheeky, especially when they advertise $5 for a naan and daal combo. Seriously, it’s just beans, it would have cost them 20c to make, tho it did taste like it came from a tin. I would not go back, especially with tasty and fresh Indian just across the road at Curryville!
