Nobunaga definitely has much cheaper prices of yakitori than other locations in Brisbane that can be up to $3-$4 more for a skewer. All the skewers had a fantastic grilled flavour as well as sauce that is greatly drizzled on top. The momo (chicken thigh) skewer is very tender and I could definitely eat several of these. The sasami (chicken breast) skewer was surprisingly not very dry and was very well cooked. Rumpu steaku (rump) was one of my favourites – I thought it was very delicious however, my family thought that the meat was a little too tough. We ordered two vegetable skewers, one capsicum and one mushroom, however, for $4 it’s not worth it for its price. Would definitely recommend sticking to the meat skewers. Butabara (pork belly) was also very delicious as it had a lot of flavour but also had quite a lot of fat. The ika (squid) skewer was very small and probably not worth it. The grilled rice ball was very filling and quite unique! The grilled eel was quite nice and very well cooked. The okonomiyaki was quite small but very delicious! The fried oysters would probably be the most worth it item on the menu. Three deep fried oysters for only $5 and they were very tasty! The potato salad was again, one of my favourites. It was creamy and had the perfect texture. The karaage chicken was perfectly fried, also another one of my favourites – with a crispy batter and tender chicken on the inside. The service was very prompt however the servers are quite traditional and many of them have strong accents which can make it quite hard to understand what it is they are serving. However, we just dug in anyway and the food was delicious.Yakitori is a great and fun experience however it is quite pricey. Would definitely recommend sticking to the meat options of yakitori as they’re more worth it for their price.

Excellent food, friendly service and a great atmosphere all round. Tried a bit of everything and nothing disappointed and the selection of Japanese alcohol was the feather in the cap.

Terrible – worst meal I have had in a really long time. Edamame were frozen, juice was off (literally tasted like it had fermented) and beef skewer was just three cubes of fat. Would never go back..Absolute amateur hour. Was served tiny microwave Lean Cuisine meals and popper juices from the fridge.Service was good though. No english. Speak japanse betterNot recommended. I spent 100$ for bad experience

Fantastic restaurant. A pleasant experience and very delicious food 🙂 The staff are very friendly and the full authentic Japanese experience. A lot of other people around here have said very highly recommended things to me of this restaurant as well.

Friendly new place, and Brisbane needs more authentic Yakitori spots! The food is great and the pricing on point. Interesting specials and helpful enthusiastic staff make for a fun night. Its not licensed at the time of writing, so BYO if thats your thing. As far as ambience goes, the place was a quite bright, and closed quite early for a Yakitori bar. Would make a great late night spot and earn 5 stars if those two things were adjusted.

My friends and I had an interesting night out to dinner here after seeing photos online and admiring the layout. It looked pretty different from the front of the restaurant coming in but towards the back in a more secluded area you get a better feel for the environment. The menu was simple with low prices, the cooking process was interesting to watch and the chef did a great job with the food. I definitely enjoyed the food but the environment was very busy with so many different types of paintings and memorabilia that it took awhile to all take in.

Living in Morningside, its always exciting when a new venue opens up and I was so thrilled to see a quality Japanese restaurant open to provide some difference to existing offerings in the area. I was so happy with the food and service. Very highly recommended and its a bonus to also find a great venue like this where I can bring my favourite bottle of wine!
