The manager is exceptionally rude. She practically scolded me about ordering the special on the board, and then told her her staff in the same manner that they need to do something about that immediately because it’s just ridiculous to have to make only one slice of toast at a time. Rude. Burnt coffee. Hard as rocks poached egg. Kid walking around dragging his feet delivering food to people’s tables.
I really want to like this cafe but it’s far too expensive for a small local cafe. A coffee and cake serving costs between $10-$15 and the cake portions are really tiny. Considering the amount of elderly in the area, I think a really good coffee and cake deal is needed here. The coffee is ok – probably one of the best in the area (there isn’t a lot of competition though). The food is basic but tasty.
I’ve been to this shopping centre cafe numerous times and have always been impressed with the quality of the food. The crispy thick cut chips with aioli are perfect. The chicken and avocado on Turkish is always tasty with some yummy sauces. And with various Mediterranean inspired sweet options you can’t go wrong for desert either. And the coffee is always good too.
The chicken turkish bread from this cafe is a lunch favourite for me, and I’m also a big fan of their milkshakes. I’ve found the coffee to be reasonably good, and the service is usually decent. Usually I go for takeaway, but I’ve dined in a couple of times before and the experience was fairly average, but I wouldn’t mind doing so again.
The worst burger ever, bacon were all overcooked, burned, super salty and dry and so does the beef pattie also dry and disgusting even tho the service was friendly but the food in general is just not up to standard, definitely not worth it at all. two thumbs down.
Best part of the experience was walking out after breakfast. Scrambled eggs that were tough and chewy, bacon and sausages over cooked and dripping in oil. Ridiculous. Terrible customer service, terrible coffee, staff are rude, everything is widely overpriced, and apparently the customer is never right. I had a cold coffee, and stale tasting biscuit, all whilst being moved from seat to seat as staff were mopping the floor over an hour before they closed…plus the mop stank and looked as though it hadn’t been changed for quite some time. Will not be recommeding this place to anyone. Head down to the rare pear for food which matches the price and if you want to be served by people who actually want to be there!Customers are a part of a successful business…WE ARE NOT A BURDEN!
