Perfect little place for brekkie/brunch. Everything tasted great! Note – unfortunately they dont sell coffee but the store next door does! Dog friendly as well!
Really cute and colourful atmosphere and bonus; its dog friendly! So you get to see the pupperinas and smol bois and big bois and long bois and all sorts of doggers enjoying the outdoors while you tuck into the must have breakfast platter for 2 or 4. This one will fill you up for sure. Its generous, tasty, has variety, and is presented in such a bright way. It frankly is everything youd want a suburban cafe to be.
Wanted to try this place because of their great reviews. This place is tucked deep into the suburban streets so it can be a little hard to find if you arent familiar with the area but with the quiet suburban atmosphere it gives a very relaxing vibe. Came with a friend and ordered the Mixed Platter for 2 people to share and the Banana & Honeycomb Waffle. For drinks I ordered the Pinkle (watermelon, apples & lemon) and Sunrise (carrot, orange, pineapple & beetroot). Food:The Mixed Platter was presented nicely and it was tasty. I do recommend for people to order if its your first time because you get a mix of everything (grilled haloumi, bacon, tomatoes, sunnyside eggs, chorizo, smoked salmon, beetroot hummus, salad, sourdough bread and granola). It is quite a reasonable price of $36 for an appetizing big breakfast between 2 people. It was easy to share and they all had great flavours however, I was a bit disappointed that the chorizo and haloumi was very salty and too oily. The Smoked Salmon wouldve been better if it was a whole piece of salmon instead of the shredded tuna type salmon (wouldve tasted and been visually better!). Everything else was delicious, my favourite would definitely be the beetroot hummus (its something different but really tasty when eaten with toast or even by itself!). The Banana and Honeycomb Waffle is definitely worth a try as it was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented too. Im usually not the type to eat something sweet for breakfast but I was drawn by the flavour combinations of honeycomb and brle Banana (along with different mixtures of fruits). This was definitely the type of breakfast I would want to eat without feeling guilty for my health because the waffles were really light and fluffy so it didnt make me feel heavy and bloated. The assorted fruits really made it appealing to me and the flavours worked really well with the strawberries, blueberries, passion fruit and kiwi. All the fruits were not too sour and I liked how they put the maple syrup and whipped cream on the side (rather than on top of the waffles because you have a choice to eat it or not and you can control the amount to eat – personally I preferred it without the whipped cream and only a tiny bit of maple syrup). I absolutely enjoyed having a bite of the waffle mixed with strawberry, honeycomb and a tiny bit of maple syrup – its a really good combination! A bit pricey for $15 but very reasonable for 2 pieces of waffles and it was something unique (very clever of the idea of flaming the banana – brle style and adding honeycomb to the mix). Drinks:The Pinkle Drink was refreshing (pretty much tasted like a basic watermelon but with a bit more sweetness from the apple flavour). I tasted the Sunrise drink and it was a bit more unique (the carrot taste was a bit overpowering but the flavours worked well with the orange and pineapple taste. Both were $6 which was quite an average price but it was freshly squeezed and great to drink for a hot day! It was strange that they didnt sell coffee but there was an expresso bar next door and they did have a lot of varieties of juices, smoothies and frappes. Ambiance:The place was very quiet (came in around 11am – only 3 other tables seated). The place was nice, I could tell that they put effort in creating a beautiful garden place with a lot of different seating types (wooden chairs and benches) with a lot of plants, fake grass on the floor and decoration lights around. Its a good breakfast place to catch up with friends as it gives a very relaxing mood with acoustic songs playing in the background (seems very hipster!). The staff were all very nice and the service was really good (they were really friendly and food came out quite fast). I also like how they have their own space for you to park your car so the place is quite spacious! Overall:The Banana and Honeycomb Waffle was delicious (definitely recommend to try!) but as a first timer I recommend ordering the platter as you get to try a bit of each dish from their menu. The juices were fresh and refreshing (has a good balance between the sweet and sour of the fruits). Great place to eat with family or to catch up with friends, service was excellent and there is parking (so no need to stress about it!).
Love this place. Not only is the food yummy, its the lovely staff and the outdoor ambience that draws people here. They have created a beautiful place which is pet friendly for people to come to. Also their breaky for twos or fours are amazing value for money. Its always nice to support the locals and this place is certainly deserving.
