Just awful. Really? Surely any take-away owner knows that when you fry fish and chips then squish it into a cardboard cone, it just steams and everything goes to a soggy-mushy state of incomprehensible crud. There’s a reason F&C gets wrapped up in paper and staying crispy is that simple reason.. On top of that the batter wasn’t cooked so fell off the fish, every other piece of deep fried abortiveness was as dry as the Gobi, the calamari was as chewy as possible and I was charged $30 for the pleasure. Should have walked across the Kirwan car-park and gone to a proper fish and chip shop that uses nice big chips that stay crunchy not the KFC crap they use at RPS, would have paid half the pice and left happy. I won’t be going back. For Pete’s sake it’s just fish and chips can’t you get it right! Oh.. and the tiny-tiny-tiny tartare sauce container they gave to share between 2 Cones was just an insult as were the smallest pieces of lemon I have ever seen. Please feel free to contact me, I am sure you won’t though because you obviously don’t care about your fledgling business and it’s inevitible failure.
Disappointing. We have had a new store start up in Kirwan near us, so decided to give them a try. We had one of their Overboard feast for $25.00. Perfect for 2 they say . There were 4 pieces of fish (about the size of a cigarette package). 2 were battered and 2 were crumbed. The crumbed ones were overcooked with the crumbs extremely dark and hard. The battered ones had the batter falling off. It also had zesty calamari, which were overcooked. . There were 2 crumbed prawns and 2 scallops. Not per person, but for 2 people. And then there were the chips. These are used to bulk the pack up and they were not very nice chips. After hearing the hype about this being the best fish and chips in Townsville, I have been left extremely disappointed, and will think twice before ever going there again.
No… NOT EVER!!!!. NO!…JUST NO!!!You may think you are hungry enough to eat from here, but you are not!Fish – terrible,Chips – terribleCalamari (traditional), a joke – terribleCrumbed prawns – terribleScallops – terrible. This is not the best fish and chips in Townsville as (self) proclaimed. It is by a long margin the WORST seafood I have ever eaten.Do not waste your hard earned here….go ANYWHERE else.JUST NO!!!!!
Very ordinary!!! Especially…. Very ordinary!!!Especially the half full calamari cone, and the smart arse supervisor.
