What a wonderful little pub and restaurant offering American style BBQ with a truly Australian twist. Happened to try the restaurant without any prior knowledge as we were staying across the road and to be fair if I had read some of the previous reviews I would of missed out on the wonderful food and atmosphere. Food was coupled with a variety of beers on tap and if you are unable to make a decision get one of the paddles with 4 to try. The brisket was delicious and when dipped into the lemon myrtle BBQ sauce it was hot sweet and savoury. The manager despite having previously worked for the evil empire was beyond helpful. He noticed the quality of our onion rings and despite us not really wanting to make a fuss organised a replacement. Next time you are looking for some BBQ please take the time to drive here.
The WORST customer service I have EVER come across. As soon as I entered this restaurant I was asked if I had a booking. When they heard I hadn’t, they dismissed me and they went on with what they were doing. When a wait staff went through the tables that were booked on the computer, I could see that MANY tables were available and I could also see using my own eyes that the restaurant was basically EMPTY when I went in. After I ordered, the food took OVER AN HOUR to arrive. The couple sitting near me got their food first!!! And they arrived and ordered HALF AN HOUR AFTER I had ordered. I found out that they had a booking. If you are not a regular or do not have a booking, do not expect to be treated fairly. They will discriminate. I have never written a bad review so this was an incredibly AWFUL experience for me to actually take the time, thought and effort to write one. I am also a very optimistic and positive person but I simply can not let this go without telling you and others what I have experienced in hopes that you and other people do not experience it too. If there was an option for zero points, I would click on it MULTIPLE times. I will NEVER EVER EVER come back to this restaurant again.
