Promises so much but it’s pretty average at best. Hot and Sour soup was just OK and Kung Pao Chicken was pretty average. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Consistently great food and excellent service, the owners are lovely and ensure that you are looked after and are happy with everything- Big Fortune is the only place we will go for Chinese

So so disappointed. Sweet n sour batter. Combination hot pot with 1 prawn and very bland. Mongolian lamb was average and lots of veges to fill the dish. Fried rice was small and expensive. We will never return or recommend and just wasted $70 and 4000 calories for nothing.

Had a honey chicken and duck noodle soup for lunch today with friends. The staff were nice however there was a long wait on food and it all came out at different times so mine was cold when we received the other mains. In all so nice to be out of the heat! stretchandlearn.wordpress.com

As an ex New Farm local its great to see this chinese still around. Seating outside in the afternoon sun with great service in the Village. We had a fried rice, honey chicken and peking beef. Beef was a little dry but the rest was perfect. If you want good chinese that’s not too pricey this is your place. Lots of parking and a cab rank at the front too.

Wow -I ordered the baked pork chop with fried rice – it was covered in cheese!?! I’ve never come across this type of Chinese cuisine before and have lived in Hong Kong and travelled extensively around Asia. The deep fried prawns were delicious, except for the fourth one: overcooked, inedible and disappointing.I won’t go back there.

We visit this all time fave every week or fortnight. We always buy an extra wanton soup to take home and eat later, as well as taking home every morsel and eating them at work the next day.My favorite is the Sizzling chicken szechuan and the best ever special fried rice that always has about 10 big prawns our child devours. We keep asking the owner to move closer to us so we don’t have to drive half an hour- alas no success as yet.The original chef who we first found at this restaurant in 2009 no longer cooks there, and the meals used to have less quality on Sunday nights, but now it is 100%. Give our taste buds a gift and visit this place!
