The atmosphere of this place was amazing. The service was good. The meals were beautifully presented. Loved the peanut butter shakes. We ordered the soft shell crab entree but were told after we waited 20 minutes they only had enough left for main meals. The food tasted okay but I was expecting more more for the rating this place received
The weekend is here. Youre awake mid morning. Hungry. You could have had a big night, early night, whatever night there was before it doesnt really matter. What matter is you want good food. You wonder where? Brisbane where the choices of Brunch is never ending but the constant shortfall of I wish it could have been better is present. Worry not! Bitter Suite is your place!I ordered the Big Breakfast! Definitely the best choice I made all weekend. Now you might think oh yeah just your standard bacon, eggs, sausage and toast but kid you not. Its BETTER. Its dish filled with the goodness you wouldnt expect would be on your typical big breakfast. I can definitely say you would fail to have a good time at Bitter Suite. Came for brunch with friends on a Sunday morning. We were seated quickly at a table outside. The waiter took ages to take our order and we never had water brought to the table until long after we ordered. Food and drinks took so long to come out after ordering. I will say at least the food was the saving grace of our experience – I had the smashed avocado. My husband was a bit disappointed with his eggs Benedict as there was only 2 tiny eggs shoved into of 1 measly piece of bread and the tiniest spatter of hollandaise. I can say, at least for brunch, I have been here and done that so won’t be coming back
Had a Christmas gathering at this good location bistro. Service was good. Read the menu and found that it provided food and drink menu with many good options. Unfortunately, we were let down by twice of the wine that we ordered was unavailable. Having said that food gained many marks back. The duck pancake was one of the examples. Chef was clever to have the wrap instead of small size pancakes like the Peking Duck. The hoisin sauce and cucumber matched well with the duck meat. Pink pepper squid was another surprise. I was expected that the chef only deep-fried some calamari but the squid was pan-fried with soft texture. Five spicy chicken wings were tasteful for those people who got sick of buffalo chicken wings. Charcuterie was presented with good choice of dried meat. Lamb shoulder melted in our mouth and the risotto was perfectly done with delicious salty poached chicken breast. If it was not the let down on the drinks, his restaurant should deserve higher marks.
My partner and I happened upon this spot on a lazy Sunday afternoon and happily enjoyed our experience during the live music. The food was pretty yummy but expensive. Staff were pretty alright, friendly and did their jobs. But in general I liked the relaxed vibe of the place. I don’t know that I’d go again but I still had a nice time.
Horrible service and rude staff that ordered things we didnt even ask for, which cost us more money for something we didnt even want or ask for. When we told them we didnt order this, they didnt apologise and gave us attitude and just gave us our money back for that meal so my sister didnt even get a meal.
Lovely spot in the quiet end of New Farm amongst the trees. A very nice selection of good beers to be had here. The menu is very good cafe style fare. Slow cooked beef, or long roasted lamb shoulder with veggies. Pasta carbonara. The food is good and tasty. The atmosphere is nice. If you go there a few times the menu doesn’t change much so it becomes a bit familiar. The seem to cater well for large groups.
