Went to buy 1.5 litre last night and was told they had run out of the 1 litre and 1.5 containers and was informed I could buy a 2 x 0.75 containers but would have to pay the price of the 2 containers instead of a 1.5 litre price… so would have been $9 more expensive… questioned logic as it the same amount…. but was told this is the way they have to sell them. So they have lost the sale and my future business. Wish i back in newtown to get my cow & moon…
Popped in last night for an after dinner treat. So good! No wonder the passion fruit gelato has won a gold medal! Beautiful creamy blend of tart and sweet, paired nicely with the salted caramel. Cant wait to try the other flavours
Im only rating my experience as I did not end up with any gelato , my partner and I were keen to try this place and as we do with every other gelato place we asked for testers , as we received barely enough of a taste delivered on an ice cream stick I was shocked when the staff refused to let us taste more than 3 flavours ?? We wanted to try just one more flavour and was told we werent allowed . The logic made no sense as we were about to spend $15 and she couldnt even let us try one more flavour ? She was rude and avoidant, when we asked her if she would be happy if we left without our business she said yes …. Thats fine , off to Milanis we went , where we can try as many flavours as we like !
They have some variants yet I tried their most popular gelato(the staff recommended it), passionfruit. The price was cheaper compare to other stores. I had it in a cone, however I did not really like the taste of the cone. Not as crunchy as cones I usually had in other stores. Actually I also didnt really like the texture of the gelato. The taste was a bit too sweet.

I’ve walked past Re Del Gelato a dozen times and they never seem to be open. Their hours are listed as 10 AM to 11 PM every day, but catching them before noon is quite challenging. Was walking past today at 11:20 AM with Mini Meatball and one of the doors was slightly ajar. I poked my head in and called out. The staff were out back and noted they were having a late start, but offered to pull some Gelato from the freezer for us. The only issue was that their flavours weren’t listed anywhere (they are usually labeled within the case, but that was dark and empty), so I asked if they had raspberry and went with that.$4.50 for a small scoop in a cup is pretty steep for gelato that was pretty average (3).Best gelato I’ve had in the past year was from Milano Gelateria at Stones Corner (and that includes trying Messina’s pop-up shop outside GOMA).
Very nice gelato and nice staff! Price reasonable, the top popular macada caramel chocolate one is highly recommended. Nice place to talk with friends after dinner.
