Went here as intended breakfast place had shut their kitchen. Very nice breakfast, all were huge. We all tried something different and all happy with meal. Staff friendly and service good.

Great atmosphere, coffee is better than most, food is a tad bland but biggest downer is the really slow service.

Diana. We came across Oldstead quite by chance as we were originally intending to go to Shucked just around the corner. We were pleasantly surprised with the food here & our breakfasts were huge. My vegetarian stack had copious amounts of haloumi which was perfectly cooked incidentally (not like rubber as we had last week at Mondo) eggs were scrambled also well cooked (which seems to be a hard thing to do at some restaurants!) then there was avocado, pesto spinach etc etc-great value. My partner was happy with his fluffy omelet too & to cap it all off the pooch was made welcome with a special water bowl!!

  • Ranga With An Appetite

Must visit. Went there for the lunch special for an indian chook curry with rice, naan, tikka, samosa for $13. The curry itself had a surprisingly very good authentic flavour (not a jarred curry by any means) which is hard to get in Brisbane and this was a daily lunch special at a cafe! The samosa was very good flavoured as was the tikka but the naan was the let down but that would be due to not having a tandoor to cook it in. Definitely worth a try! The curry itself was the best I’ve had in Brisbane to date (ex Victorian)
