Bowls great, platters awesome, lunch not so great. 13 of us went to The Boo on Saturday for our Christmas party. We all really enjoyed the bowls and the chicken skewers and pizza platters that we ordered were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the variety of drinks was great. The quality of the lunch was a let down after how good the platter were. The chips were stone cold and the salad consisted of a huge chunk of lettuce with a tint, tiny drizzle of dressing. I ate my steak which was lovely but left the rest of my food on my plate. All in all though we all had a great day.

Over booked. There were about 60 of us at the Boo last night for our Xmas party. We had booked well in advance. The undercover seating area was packed with other group bookings. We shared our small gazebo with another group of about 15 people so I dont know how they felt about our big group noise. Next disappointment – the beer on tap Great Northern, was flat, tasted old and reminded me of what dishwater would taste like. How long is it since the lines have been cleaned and sterilized? Only 2 lanes available for our group first disappointment as many didnt play (there went $10 for nothing). Looking forward to the food but not plated up for each person – fair enough as its BBq style. But, with 12 of us left in the line-up, there was only one tiny bread roll left, 4 lettuce leaves and some 2cm cobs of corn. A very small bowl of zucchini onion, and carrot came out enough for 3 people and the girl said we would have to wait for some more salad I think its still coming. We had steak and some chips (it would have been greedy to take what was left for the people behind us) – my steak was tender but my partners steak was grissly. So for $39 and $10 bowls, it was a rip off. We wont be back.

Had lunch here the other day, really friendly service and seriously scrumptious food!!! I had the ranges valley rump steak sandwich with smoked mayo. My wife had the pork belly burger with pickled cabbage & Harissa dressing. The chocolate brownie for dessert was soooo delicious. Turns out its the same people that run the Ascot club in Hendra. These guys have really put their bowls clubs on the map for being foodie hotspots

We ordered the fish and chips.. I can tell you it was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten in my life.. The fish was cooked to perfection!!! The tarte sauce and aioli homemade were also amazing round of applause to the chef I will deffinatley be returning with my children…it was a meal I would be happy to eat every day.. Had my first visit there the other day. Small bar but service is quick. Menu is small but the food was good. I had the pork belly burger with chips which was melt in the mouth pork belly with onion relish and chipotle mayo in a bun. Quite tasty! Had that with a soft drink for $20. Wouldn’t be my first option for local dining but i would go again.
