Overall we were happy with our night at Gip’s. Couple of things brought our experience down a little. Service was slow – 60 minute wait for our food and then we ordered a couple of drinks that never arrived. The food was good, but portions were small. A bit pricey (most expensive main is $46) but the seafood was well cooked.

We were holidaying & this restaurant was across the road from Vacy Hall where we stayed. We had the bruschetta for entre and soup of the day both were great. We ordered the prawn & chicken salad for main. The meal came without any meat and had egg which wasn’t on the menu. The staff however were very friendly & offered a new meal promptly. Beautiful garden surroundings in an historic setting.

Just visiting Toowoomba from Sydney for business and thought we’d give it a try. Excellent. Very attentive staff and very good food. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful food, great service!. Coming from Melbourne, my taste buds are always expecting something delicious and amazing, especially with country towns (and I live in Warwick now!). Came to Gip’s for my boyfriend’s birthday and the food and service were absolutely lovely! The setting was beautiful, ambience was romantic, our waitress was polite, friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. We ordered the bruschetta for entree which was amazing! Signature morten bay bug ravioli was gorgeous. My partner ordered some tapas which was nice too (pork belly a little dry).Dessert was the chai panna cotta – very impressed!!Will definitely be back again

Fantastic location matches fantastic food. A great example of a restaurant located in a historic building. Great sounding menu backed up by great tasting food across tapas, main and desert. Highly recommended

Great atmosphere, excellent food. Wine a bit limited. Good service. Definitely recommend.

Mediocre to be honest. I tried really hard to like this place- the staff were absolutely delightful, but the food fell flat on its back for the amount of $ spent. After trying the mains, we decided not to do desserts & went elsewhere for dessert. There are worse places in toowoomba but this just didn’t move me
