Awesome seafood dinner!
We came to Gusto because it had been recommended by a taxi driver earlier in the day. We didn’t book, but secured a table fairly quickly. The menu was nice but not particularly inspiring – not one of those menus where you can’t decide because everything sounds amazing. I hadn’t eaten oysters for a while so I chose half a dozen and my companion chose a smoked trout and potato pancake with beetroot relish, horseradish and dill butter.
We had a lovely lunch here. I came because of the reviews and was not disappointed at all.Spatchcock was fantastic! Salads ect were great also. Try the chocolate pudding. I’m not a sweet tooth (my wife is!) but the burnt caramel was awesome and the home made vanilla ice cream was delicious. The staff were really lovely and relaxed and we had a very enjoyable experience as a result! Even had a baby with us that wasn’t particularly settled so it ended well! Can’t beat a location like this really either on the side of the river!
I’d rate Gusto as the best place I’ve eaten on Gympie Terrace. Friendly staff, brisk service, enough seafood on the menu to remind you that you’re on the coast, and tasty light meals with flair
