It’s NYE, just after a frenetic storm. There’s a heap of tables available, but it takes more than 3mins to select which table we are to occupy. Odd.We immediately order some pappadums and chutneys/condiments, and garlic naan, together with a couple of cocktails. The chutneys are divine, so too the raita. But the pappadums are obviously cooked well in advance. They are cold, oily, flopsy and stale. The naan is good, but garlic slightly over cooked, not moist and lovely. The butter chicken for the kids is very good, albeit made with chicken breast (not thigh), so a little dry. The sauce is delicious. The paneer tikka masala was yum – fresh paneer which retained its form, crisp capsicum, flavoursome. The dahl makhni was smoky and creamy but the lentils were mushy – they’d lost their delicate individual shape. The venue is nothing fancy. The service was good. The 15% NYE surcharge (only mentioned on the bill, nowhere in advance on the menu) was rude.

Another stunning restaurant here in Noosa Heads. Some of the most flavoursome curries I’ve had. I ordered a simple butter chicken and roti and that’s all I needed. Just what I felt like and full of flavour. I would certainly go back again. Overall: simple and flavoursome.
