  Fantastically Fresh!!. The items I got to sample at this bakery were absolutely heavenly! So fresh and so flavourful, this is what all bakeries should aspire to be!!Having arrived at Sunshine Beach for the weekend, my aunt and uncle pointed out Laguna Bakery to my partner and I as this is where they buy their bread and other items almost daily. Not being able to pass up a bakery, my partner went in and bought a plain Croissant and a Breakfast Pie to go. Re-emerging, my partner stated that the woman behind the counter wasn’t overly pleasant which was too bad as my aunt and uncle said that the gentleman working during the week was welcoming and sociable. Too bad my partner hadn’t gotten served by him, but in this case, we let the fantastic bread override this woman’s lacklustre behaviour.The plain croissant was unbelievable! Perfect in every way! Light and flaky on the outside and as soft as butter inside! And yes, this was definitely made with butter! I could tell by the fragrance of the croissant that this was absolutely fresh and along with the flavour and the texture, it was tremendous! I recommend this croissant to anyone who wants to know what a real croissant should taste like!!The next morning I had the Breakfast Pie which contained bacon, egg, mince beef and cheddar. Although I was having this a day later, it was still phenomenal! Tasty pie crust and a generous amount of mince beef. The egg was on the top of the beef, just under the crust. I thought it would have been scrambled, but the egg had sat on top and cooked that way so the yolk was quite noticeably in one large piece. This kept the pie very moist inside and with the ample topping of cheddar on the very top of the pie made this one savoury breakfast indeed! Well put together with the utmost care and high quality ingredients, the only thing that didn’t stand out for me was the bacon. There were tiny, little pieces of bacon in with the mince beef but the flavour had been lost which was too bad as I’m a bacon-lover, but overall, this breaky item was worth every penny!Just before lunch we popped into the bakery again and my partner purchased a Sesame Seed bun for 90 cents. Unfortunately, the same woman was working, but in a consistent fashion, she still seemed disinterested in being there.The size of the bun was massive and it smelled wonderfully of toasted sesame seeds combined with the mouth-watering aroma of fresh bread! It deliciously went well with the roast beef, tomato and cucumber I put into it later! Laguna Bakery is one of the most impressive bakeries I’ve ever had fresh items from! I would definitely go there every time we are in the area and would have no problem recommending this place! It’s a gem and deserves to have a lot of recognition for their wonderful, high quality goods and for making things so fresh and fantastic!
