Very disappointed with our meals at the reef hotel there are obviously no skilled chefs working here. Had the stockmans Parma which was dry and inedible topped with oily onion rings the only thing I ate was the chips. We also got the Xmas dinner which was meant to be turkey and baked ham but the ham was just sliced from the deli and thrown on the grill with poorly cooked vegetables on the side. We walked away both saying we’ve had better food in hospital
We dropped in here on a Sunday night for dinner as it was pouring with rain and this was our closest option. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I love the open feel of the restaurant (minus the views as we came at night – bummer) and the easy self order, prepay and wait – no fuss! The food was nice – we had the seafood platter. In typical pub form, most things were crumbed and deep fried, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but we should have been more specific and asked for grilled. If you have kids – take them along as they have a small play room which has a camera set up, which is attached to a tv in the dining area! Super smart idea.We probably won’t go back but it’s a good casual dining spot with classic pub food!
Had a meal last night with 9 family holidaying from Adelaide and Melbourne. The meals in Noosa over the last 5 days have been exceptional, unfortunately our good run of dinning experiences ended here. Staff were friendly and polite (hence 1 star), food was sub-par and the wait for mains exceeded 85 mins. Will not be dinning here again.
Went to Flanagan’s Irish Pub whilst on holiday to watch the UFC and obviously they didn’t plan ahead. They had 3 people working the whole place all day, it took 30 minutes to get a drink and they never had jugs or pints, even schooner glasses sometimes, they didn’t have trays to carry your drinks because they couldn’t and they were extremely slow on bringing out food and even slower to clear the table. Considering we had a table full of shells and bones, they still took well over an hour to clear the table desperate being asked 3 times. Besides the crappy staff and service. In terms of food, the prawns were a bit sandy and flavourless, and the chips were cold. The only positive would be the delicious mussels but needed more bread to mop up the sauce. All in all, would only go back to watch big sporting events.
