  As a local, I would love to recommend what has been a great fish and chip shop for many years, however, be aware, it is now VERY expensive; and the menu is not up to date. What a disappointment, the food is good, the price was unbelievable

  Ordered some fish & chips to take away. Was close to go for the healthier grilled fish but opted for battered sea perch instead. We chose the package for 2 which includes 2 perch, calamari, prawns and chips. I was delighted that the batter for the fish was light and great for the soft perch. The garlic aioli packed a punch, great for garlic lovers. Chips were thick and well cooked. Delicious fish & chips.

  Why does the menu displayed in a photo on your site indicate that a 6 pack prawn, 6 scallops, 6 calamari with small chips cost $36.00 and I was charged $54.00 last night. When I question the price anomaly the person serving me told me that not many people know how to access their web site and the pricing may be three years out of date. It may be more beneficial that the prices be updated regularly on both their site and yours in order not to lure clients under false pretences. The food was excellent but disappointed with the false pricing.

  On holidays just down the road from this fish & chip establishment, and having read Meatballs And Beef Cheeks review, we decided to get some seafood for Friday night dinner.The place is very clean and staff friendly, but was surprised that the place wasn’t busy for a Friday night. We decided on the Seafood box as how it described sounded quite large and for a price of $28 for 2 people, it read as reasonably priced.First of all the fish pieces were absolutely tiny and and more like fish bites (cocktail size). Then, there should of been 4 battered prawns, there were only 3 and they were tiny with a complimentary long hair in the batter. The prawns were without their tails which to me were the frozen kind.Its not all bad though! The calamari was supberly cooked, not chewy, melt in the mouth. Homemade potato cakes were yummy but not alot of batter.Then the chips were very light on for 2 people (more like just enough for one person) and still firm and a crunch to bite. Definitely not soft and fluffy! It could be by the type of potato they are using, or they just didnt cook them long enough.Such a shame as it is in such a great location. Now I understand why the locals do not frequent this establishment! Overpriced for what you get and consistency seems hit and miss. There are plenty of other fish and chip places to go in the area that I am sure give better value for money.

  After reading reviews and driving past several other seafood locations we decided to grab take away from this location as it felt less touristy.The manager was reasonably pleasant and we ordered a seafood box – which was a mixture of fish pieces, prawns, calamari, potato cake and chips.After receiving our package we drove back to our holiday accomodation and opened the prepared seafood box. Whilst small portions it looked good at first – then as we plated the food one of the battered prawns had a long hair embedded into the batter. It went further downhill from there.Instead of 4 prawns there were only 3.The chips were barely cooked, looked good on the outside but still hard on the inside.With the volume of other eateries available in the area we will certainly not be back.
