Lovely staff and location. Trios is my grandparents favourite restaurant and I must say I don’t mind taking them as I quite enjoy the ambience and food myself. The menu is traditional (e.g., steaks, fish and chicken with sides), which is perfect for those who want pub style menus but of better quality and more upmarket. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating to my grandmother who was in a wheelchair. I enjoyed my rump steak with mushroom sauce and appreciated the chef changing the sides so I could have vegetables rather than chips. Although it was a bit loud in the restaurant as it was a busy day the meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I will be returning on my next trip to Noosa.
Would have been nice if they cleared the entree dishes before they started bringing out the mains and I’m sure when you order a steak you should be given a steak knife.
We began with a cruise on the Noosa Queen, to lake Cooroiya past Richard Branson’s Makepeace island resort. Despite the drizzle of rain it was serene and magical on the gentle waters. Dinner and cruise is set at $55 excl drinks. There was a trio of starters followed by a wide choice of seafood, steaks and pasta – I had the perfectly cooked sesame encrusted salmon with sweet potato cake. Everything had a rich buttery taste (piling on some calories!) and followed by a trio of desserts – strawberry parfait, chocolate gateau and mango sorbet. Decor was a little drab but better during day as it has a spectacular river view. Branson eat your heart out.
Had Xmas day lunch here fantastic service fantastic seafood.
I am impressed with Trio’s who serve consistently good food with a spectacular view. The atmosphere could do with a bit of amping up,
