Went for lunch Saturday. We all ordered burgers they were dry, over cooked and tasteless. The chipswere dry and oily, really disappointing. Won’t be back. It also took nearly 45 minutes for food to arrive and it wasn’t even busy.

Mediocre. I agree with previous posts, food is nothing to rave about. Service was pretty good. Food came out in a reasonable time. Coffee were good. Decor was nice. Personally would not come here again but it wasn’t terrible. tasteslikeregret.wordpress.com

This was the worst meal Ive had in a long time. Was supposed to be a Red Thai seafood curry but it was most mung bean sprouts! The red curry had no spice and was extremely oily with puddles of grease that the rice and mung beans were floating in.Ive been to Groove train in the city and the food was great but North Lajes, what are you doing. Disgusting!

We stopped in for a late lunch. Great location. Lots of space and tables. Great range of menu! We decided to go with the tandoori woodfire pizza and wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli. The waitress was lovely and had very great manners and table service! Though the food wasn’t anything to rave about unfortunately but nonetheless it was not bad. Wedges were nice and crisp and pizza came out hot however not authentic or flavoursome. I think the standout was the service! Overall 3/5.

Very very disappointing, firstly two drinks were forgotten after a long wait. Then the salt and pepper calamari was undercooked. Two steak were incorrectly entered as port house in stead of the rib eye on the bone and both were blue instead of medium. Tandoori pizza had any chicken on it and was bland. Meat lovers okay but not worth the price. Won’t be back!

Unimaginative and overpriced are the only ways to describe Groove Train. We ordered a chicken parmy and the polenta chips. The parmy was so lacking in any diversity. If I’d paid $10 for this at a pub I’d think that was reasonable but I paid nearly $25 for it and it was bland and really run-of-the-mill. It came with the standard chunky fries, which by the way were cold, and a half arsed salad. The polenta chips also lacked any imagination and again were cold (atleast they were consistent). For the price this is not the meals I expected or should expect. The only reason i gave them a score of 2.0 was because if the staff. Really nice and attentive staff there…otherwise the score would have been lower.

Get what you expect from a cafe and bar: Good plate full of satisfying food-court/bar type food, large range on menu from wood fired pizzas to risottos to through Indian to steak dishes, plus snacks and solid deserts, fast service, and friendly staff, full range from the bar. Hard seats if you are going to stay a while.
