Everytime i have dined with mango hill tavern i have had a great meal.. steaks are cooked well ( medium rare for me) side salads are great and staff are friendly… i have seen these old reviews and i feel like they havnt been to the same place.. its either a new menu or a new chef .. but the meals are great! Always recommend this place to mates and family.
I’m always surprised by how good the food is. For a place as down-to-earth as this, they serve a wide variety of dishes, and they always seem to be good. I’ve seen older reviews that have complained about the service, but every time we’ve been there, the service has been cheerful, and they’re very accommodating of children.
I have eaten here a few time now and it’s always a trusted local place to come have a good meal at a good price. Quality and service is good and even on both occasions when I come, thought it maybe busy they always handle the pressure well. Definitely recommend!!!
I really liked this place. Kids loved it. Had the brisket which was delicious. The slaw was fantastic and punchy. The brisket itself was very tasty although got a little too sweet/rich if you don’t proportion it with the slaw well enough. One of the FOH staff suggested having mash with it, which i wish i had done. The corn was fantastic, just wish there was more of it. Onion rings were excellent. Wifey had some Salmon which she liked. I’ll admit that this probably is not my/our first choice of an eatery although if we were without alternatives or in the mood for something tavern foodie this is a good choice. We will definitely be back.
Best pub meal I’ve ever had!Ordered the chicken Parma w/mushroom sauce, and hubby ordered the rump steak. Both meals came with Caesar salad, lots of fries, garlic aioli, and a sauce of your choice – we both went for mushroom I was not expecting the food to taste that good. Well seasoned, and such a HUGE portion. Couldn’t finish it!I always judge a place on how good their aioli is, and I’d have to say that Mango Hill is definitely on my Top 3 garlic aioli list, and trust me I order aioli with EVERYTHING, so I have tasted a fair few. Their mushroom sauce was AH-MAY-ZING! So jealous that they accidentally gave hubby two, which he demolished all on his own!Chicken and steak were both good. Chicken was tender, and juicy. Steak was cooked to perfection.How can you beat all that!!!! If you want a cheap meal, that’s good on value and flavor. This is the place for you!
Creative menu for a tavern but left us a bit flat. Oysters a bit old and had bits of shell in them. The service was polite but unenthusiastic but ok up to the point of finding a black curly hair attached to our fries.
Great pub meal, the service was a little slow but we did go to the sports bar so it’s understandable. Amazing prices in this area though, definitely try it out for a decent parmi!
