Had a three course lunch last sunday. Got there a little early to walk around the grounds which was well worth it. Stunning rainforest setting surround the villas on the grounds (which we were able to check out thanks to the welcoming staff) as well as the dining area. Have to recommend the smoked short rib from the sturdy looking pro smoker they have around the back of the reaturant. All up the food was spot on, great wine list and beautiful location.
A nice little spot tucked away in the rainforest. Came here for a leisurely lunch given its decent ratings in the AFGF. Top marks for ambience and tranquility. Food is decent with some dishes being more successful and interesting compared to others. Some plates could use a touch more seasoning or kick of acid or a little dial up on the flavour profile in general. Given its high price bracket, we expected a bit more but I guess not too many fine dining options in the immediate area. Beautiful presentations overall. Especially loved the almond gazpacho and the soft shell crab congee. Good crispy skin on the fish. Very friendly service.

i been to that cafe with my friends food was good cafe looks beautiful too.But only downfall for me is one of my friend used to work there as waitress and she told me they don’t treat staff really well. The chef swear at staff all the time which is not right.i hope someone make a recording of this abuse and take them to the justice.its workplace abuse.SHAME ON YOU.
The beautiful setting and isolation to me dictates a lunchtime visit, and during our visit crimson rosellas, king parrots, kookaburras, finches and bush turkeys are seen in the forest around us. (Alternatively, it would be delightful to stay in one of the retreat’s cabins to experience the rainforest at sunset and in the early morning.) Sitting on the open veranda, our meal begins: five courses of beautifully rendered fine food from Head Chef Jasper Kan, whose already seasonal menus take the final step in local sourcing.
