Excellent breakfast menu. Enjoyed the pancakes, superb salmon eggs benedict. Relaxed and friendly, though I note table service no longer available – order and pay at counter.
Tasty food with fast and friendly service. We both had a burger. The coffee was good, and I’m fussy about coffee! I had the Chicken burger with beer battered chips and aioli; I finished the plate! 🙂
Love their brekkie! The breakfast bruschetta is amazing. Have only been dissapointed by items on the lunch menu though- quiche was average and salad boring. The venue is lovely though
Great place, excellent service. Attended a 70th birthday at Engine Room Caf. Beautiful food and a lovely birthday cake. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend this caf to all.
Mixed Review- nice location, friendly service, but try to ask for a side of fries & you’ll get a firm no – even though they serve chips with some meals – how hard is it to serve a side of fries & charge accordingly – customer service at it’s worst… Wake up & get with the program, how very naive…
Shrug. I like engine room for its friendly service and laid back atmosphere, but have become increasingly hesitant to go there due to the inconsistency of their coffee. Some days it will be exceptional, and other days bitter, hot and watery. The food is nice, but nothing special and could do with a bit more attention to detail. They do make all their cakes in house which is a big tick in my book.
One of the Best!. My family and I came in on a busy Sunday, and even though we neglected to book, the very helpful staff managed to get us a table as quickly as possible. I had a young child, which was warmly welcomed with an offer of a high chair. Our food & drinks came quickly, and the young staff member that brought our meals and dealt with our other requests of extra sauce and questions about the new menu was very pleasant and professionalWe will be back.WELL DONE ENGINE ROOM CAFE!
