If I could give this restaurant a half half instead of like or don’t like I would. We went for a Sunday breakfast and felt that this place was OK. What let the place down was the table service, the girls were running around not knowing what they were doing, and forgetting to bring out food and beverages. The place was also a bit of a shambles, dirty dishes left everywhere (people turned away because of no tables when all they needed to do was clean them), chairs and odd furniture just randomly left in the restaurant in plain sight and a mess over their counter where u pay. What did save it slightly was the food… At least this was good, if you can look past this and focus on the food then I guess it was… Like I said.. OK
A great meal!. It’s rare we eat at the same place two nights in a row, but we were so impressed by this place (and don’t get to Townsville all that often) so we came back a second night, and brought 8 of our friends. Everyone enjoyed their entree’s and mains, which were all excellent. I had the fish special of the day one night, and an amazing filet mignon the next. I have a feeling we might have ended up there for a third night if we hadn’t been heading out of town. Casual, comfortable, but just slightly formal enough, great balcony that looks over the strand, Townsville’s coast park/beach.
