Good coffee….but that’s where it stops!. I had avocado smash on the with salmon. Lucky I ordered the salmon cause the avocado had big chunky growths in it (like seeds – but crumbly) so I just had salmon on toast whilst gagging at the table trying to get the horrible bits out of my mouth. They were clearly not going to compensate so I just asked for a complimentary coffee. I was told it’s the avocado suppliers fault and not there’s. They didn’t offer money back just an argument…..did they want me to contact the supplier asking for my money back?I know I had an incident here once before and thought I’d give them another chance but now I’m done! Go to MJ&Co down the road….much better!
Overpriced for what you get. Maybe I’m a Melbourne Snob, but the service and food here was very ordinary. The hot chocolate was OK, smoothie took ages to come out (but tasted good), but serving a pile of rocket leaves for salad with my eggs, bacon, toast and tomato wasn’t very appetizing. They also didn’t ask how we wanted the eggs done (and I forgot to ask), and they were well cooked. So if you are going to try this place out I would stick to the drinks and take away. Seems to always be packed but there are plenty of other places that do a better job when it comes to service and food.

I’ve had breakfast here each morning this week & will be back on regular trips.Bircher is delicious..love the crispy apples & fresh passion fruit on top!
