Sub-par experience, dont bother. Spend the extra couple of dollars and head to coffee club or somewhere similar – I ordered the lasagna and chips with gravy, which, for 12.95, I didn’t expect to be 5 star, however, the meal I received was inedible. The lasagna was chewy, goopy, and as someone who will quite literally eat anything on my plate, I’m telling you, it was unpalatable.When I told the staff I wasn’t satisfied, and selected another item on the menu, I was made to pay an additional $2, and my plate was taken back to the kitchen. When the new item was brought out to me, I was mortified that the kitchen had just wiped the lasagna off the plate and dished up my steak sandwich on the same plate I had sent back. The same gravy soaked chips (now cold and soggy) were still there, globs of remaining pasta sauce we’re still on them.Complete experience was sub par – do not bother.
Awesome service and good coffee. Have found it alot better than other chain cafes and the price is better for what you get.
Never again will I visit a Billy Baxter cafe. I ordered the lasagne and it was microwave lasagne from a box!!! Disgusting!
The stupid lady came out with 1 dish and didnt say what it was just starred at us and smashed it down on the table. The last dish came out and three of the staff starred at us for about 5 minutes so we starred back and they started laughing. Worst service ever they need to be fired.
Not bad, not bad at all. Was surprised to read some of the reviews after having breakfast there. Maybe they have read them too and acted upon them!!The staff were very friendly and the food was presented reasonably quickly.The prices were fair, cheaper than other venues and the food was very good.Couldn’t complain.
Thought it would be a good idea to have breakfast at Billy Baxter’s. How wrong was I. Placed my order with someone who spoke little English. She managed to fumble around with the payment and had to get someone else to put through the payment. Throughout placing the order she didn’t ask how we would like for our eggs to be cooked. We sat down and I went back up instantly realizing he had forgotten to ask how we would like our eggs. I spoke to someone who had a popped collar who may or may not have been the manager. Who told me they had already started cooking and that it was my fault for not telling them how we wanted the eggs done. There was no apology and no aim that he wanted to help out. As he stood there and shrugged his shoulders and said they are already cooking. I decided I wasn’t getting anywhere so I sat down. To which he turned and started speaking in another language to one of his colleagues. All four of the staff on huddled around and started talking and laughing. This continue until our food arrived. Which the waitress just put on the table without saying anything. Food was cold, bacon and sausages were uncooked. All in all the morning was bad experience and disappointing. No customer service no willingness to help. Won’t be going back there and will be telling all friends and family to not bother because they will only be disappointed.
I cannot believe how bad the food was! And overpriced! I ordered the warm chicken salad which was literally some lettuce leaves with some old tomato and the DRIEST chicken I have ever seen! It actually scratched my mouth! I couldn’t stomach it so I asked if I could please have a refund as we had to dash off, they not only refused and only gave me a few dollars back, they also took my plate so I couldn’t pick at the lettuce (the only bearable part). My friend got the nachos, don’t even want to get started in how bad they were. It’s just really annoying paying more for a meal you could make far better at home.. The END! Haha
