Noticed Ronnie’s review of this tiny bakery & decided to give it a try. I perused the array of goodies on display & decided on a rather oversized lemon meringue tart. It had a copious amount of delicious meringue sitting on top of the tart lemon custard. Only problem I had was the leaking meringue which soaked the bag before arriving home to share it with my partner (if that’s an indication of the size!)
I drop in here for a quick snack and dessert. The Vietnamese Owner is a nice guy and always has time for a chat. This Bakery is comfortably warm in Winter but it is a sweatshop in Summer!My Chunky Beef Pie ($4.50) is tasty with tender beef cubes. A pretty good pie! The Vanilla Slice ($3) is great value and delicious with a cup of coffee. I will be back!
Located at a small shopping village along the Oxley Road, this bakery again is running by Vietnamese. Very much appreciate the hard-working attitude of this bakery, who is trading seven days with an very early start at 5:00am. Walked in and ordered a flat white and a Onion, Tomato Steak pie. They are serving Di Bella coffee which was quite matching my palate. Although I could only see the beef mince inside the pie, the texture of the pastry was so soft that made me the feeling of eating tofu. This amazing feeling together with the refreshing taste from the diced tomato compensate the negative from the beef mince. Overall experience is not bad.
