Been there 3 or 4 times now in total. Got the $5 chicken and chips combo each time. Pros:- Chicken is basically KFC if KFC were fresh, though could do with maybe some herbs or chilli to add flavor, that’s just my preference though. – Chips are good too- great scenery etc.- great service most of the timeCons:- most times I go here I have been served by the same guy who makes the food perfectly, however last time someone else was working who basically drowned everything in chicken salt rather than a sprinkle. So much so I couldn’t finish it. Usually great though, I think this was just a once off. – keep in mind the chicken is very oily, but no more than KFC or other fried chicken

It’s better. I think it was terrible at first but I’ve changed my mind recently. The story is, I went pass oxley the other day and tempted to grab something for lunch. I decided to go with a serving of chips, a hamburger and a seafood basket. It turned out quite disappointed. The chips was overcooked, the hamburger wasnt wrapped properly and the fish pieces in the basket were also overcooked. I was like, wtf is this. How could it be so bad? HOWEVER, I completely change my mind after the second time I gave it a try. I found out that this Fish Depot was taken over by a new owner and they struggled with staffing. So they change staff all the time so some lucky customers will be perfectly served with experienced staff and take away an absolutely stunning meal. Some will be disappointed with poor preparation food. Being said, I’ve changed my mind since I came back for the second time. I was impressed by their new hamburger. Their meat patty recipe was modified to the next level. Astonishingly fragrant and beautifully balanced in taste. Now I’m a big fan of their hamburger. I would definitely come back to have more food. Personally, I think there is no bad chef, they just need more time and opportunity to grow.
