Have frequented this pub many a time as it’s the closest to my workplace. I have found that there’s only a couple of things worth ordering off the lunch menu and that’s the lunch rump and the pumpkin salad with a topper (the calamari is not worth it). They run this place on minimal staff, which they are generally run thin between taking orders, the restaurant bar and the sports bar leaving a shortfall with people waiting for drinks, waiting to be seated, etc.

Love the comments below because it sums the place up perfectly. Essentially;Poor quality food that is over priced. Now I love a good pub meal, steak, parmy, obligatory salt and pepper calamari, curry that no one ever orders. It’s all part of the new age Aussie pub agenda. But if your steak is $30+ and you can buy the same poor cut from Coles for $5, don’t bang on about it being grain fed. Blind Freddy could easily cook a steak better at a Bunnings sausage sizzle. I mean come on, it’s called the ‘OX’ and you would guess that it can do a good bit of meat.I really didn’t mind the other items we had, schnitzel, calamari, croquettes. They were fun, yummy and did the job, but I tell you what, our huge win on keno barely covered the price of the meal.

Food was awful .. probably the worst Caesar Salad I’ve ever seen for that price.. Pasta was not the best either, peas that looked like they come from a can, non existent Pesto flavour .. Incredibly overpriced for what you get, Go Elsewhere!!

Sign said wait here to be seated, but by who?? Ended up going to the bar to be seated after long wait. Chicken Parmy was served quickly, lashings of burnt melted cheese on top but was set cold! Ether been sitting for ages or a re heat from yesterday!! Cold chips. Don’t go there.

Came here for lunch. Ordered the pumpkin pasta with the extra chicken with it. Chicken was deep fried tenderloin pieces put on top of a creamy pasta sauce. Just weird. When I’ve had this combination at other places the chicken is always tossed through the sauce and definitely not deep fried. The $12.95 chicken snitzel tasted and looked like it was one of those supermarket ones you get from the deli for $1.50 each. Not one for returning. The prices are high, unfortunately the quality diesel match up to them.

Will not be returning. Visited for dinner. Steak & vegies for near $30 was a small piece of low-price steak the size of my palm, one piece of broccoli, half a carrot and terrible mash potato. Wine was in a small glass and over-priced for the serving. Definitely not recommend to anyone else. Terrible!

Very disappointing.. Ordered the Tuna with warm potato salad and roasted tomatoes. The Tuna was severely overcooked, there was no sign of its beautiful purple flesh left when it came out. It was very dry and was not seasoned. I would have been better off ordering the beer battered fish off the bar menu. The portion was very small. The warm potato salad was nice but the tomatoes were not seasoned before roasting, meaning they were fairly tasteless. It’s a shame such a nice venue cannot produce equally as pleasing meals
