Came here early for a quick coffee. Dan the Owner/Barista is quick to take my order and my large double shot Latte is ready within minutes. The strong hot coffee hits the spot!This is a cosy little cafe and the takeaway coffee trade is brisk. Kid friendly, there is a box of toys and a sofa for little people. I will be back and thank you Dan!
Unexpectedly ran into this cafe a week or two ago – Located in Paddington Central and upstairs from Woolies is Brown Cardigan.The exterior of the cafe is furnished with wooden tables and pastel colored chairs. And the interior is covered with band/play posters. Pot plants surround the cafe, on the walls and hung down from the ceiling. (You know we all need some green space once in a while!! )The menu is simple and straight forward. I ordered the Turkish w/ Lettuce, Avocado, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Aioli, Halloumi (Added Bacon). My morning cuppa today was a Flat White.Coffee: Served hot. Smooth and robust consisting a nice dark chocolate finish that lingers after every sip. Very good!Food: Made fresh and presented smoking on the plate. The lettuce gave out a soft crunch. Mixed together were the avocado and sun dried tomatoes that offered a refreshing yet juicy touch to the dish. The bacon and halloumi cheese were nicely cooked and lastly, the Turkish bread was well-toasted, providing a good crunch.Very good portions and reasonably priced! I needed to drop a parcel to a friend who is deployed overseas with the Army, Brown Cardigan is a place that right around the corner tucked away in that little mall near Woolworth, Paddington. You won’t see it from the road, or even going up those skinny escalators going up next to Woollies. Just behind Il Posto, Brown Cardigan looks really hip with pallet planters in the walkway. I had a quick bite for lunch today, the Haloumi Salad was fresh with loads of cheese! It was really nice, you could tell it was home made. Thanks for a lovely quick lunch!
Ordered a coffee and Deluxe Wrap from Uber Eats. Order came very quickly. Coffee was a tiny bit bitter but still enjoyable and the wrap was absolutely delicious and a decent size!Editing this for my second experience – coffee is very good and wrap once again amazing! I would eat the Deluxe Wrap for lunch every day if I could it is THAT good!
